Projection notes

• Heat is transferred into the room by conduction, radiation and convection in the floor structure. The emissivity of the final covering has an influence - this applies to all types of underfloor heating (carbon film, hot water systems, etc.).
• The reflective film placed under the carbon heating film has a completely negligible effect and is therefore not necessary.
• Carbon film radiates heat up and down equally, so the thicker the thermal insulation underneath (Arbiton, EPS, XPS, PIR, Hobra, mineral wool, etc.), the better the result.
• Always install only one type of film with the same area output in one heating circuit.
• The cumulative performance of the carbon films in the room should be at least 1.3 times the calculated heat loss of the room.
• Many years of experience show that the real energy consumption is about 60% of the value determined by the standard day-step method (thanks to fast and precise control and heat production only where it is needed).
• When laying floor boards or final coverings directly on the carbon film, it is necessary to embed the supply cables and connectors into the grooves in the thermal insulation, or to insert another backing board (preferably Hobra) under the film and create the grooves in it.
• The concrete or anhydrite above the film must contain additives designed for underfloor heating.
• The floor covering chosen must be suitable for electric underfloor heating.
• In bathrooms and similar areas, carbon films must be connected via a current protector and covered with a grounding grid, or use films with integrated grounding.
