It has a very high load capacity, which significantly reduces the stress on the floor covering locks. It is used as a substrate under LARX carbon heating foil installed directly under an interlocked floor covering. LARX carbon heating foils are placed directly on Adipan (Hobra), in which grooves for cables and connectors are cut.

The size of one board is 590 x 860 mm and the thickness is 5.5. mm. 1 package contains 15 boards = in total 7.61 m2.

Brief description of application directly under a floating floor (more in the detailed instructions)

  1. Place the underlying Hobra on the clean floor surface without unevenness. It serves as step sound and thermal insulation. The LARX carbon heating Film supply cables are routed along the grooves cut into this base plate.
  2. Measure and cut the LARX carbon heating Film strips according to the project.
  3. Lay the LARX carbon heating Film and secure it against shifting.
  4. Use the crimping pliers to crimp the connectors onto the Film. Make sure that the connector is connected to the copper strip.
  5. Carry out a test resistance measurement before laying according to the Warranty Certificate.
  6. Strip the connecting wires. For the first strip, strip the wires at the end, for any additional strips of LARX carbon heating Film, strip the wires continuously. Use crimping pliers to crimp the wire into the connector.
  7. Insulate the connectors with four butyl tapes (rectangles 8 x 5 cm) with an overlap of at least 1 cm. At the opposite end of the LARX carbon heating Film, always insulate the copper strips with one folded rectangle of butyl tape.
  8. Prepare the grooves in the base plates and place the cables and possibly also the insulated ends of the LARX carbon heating Film in them.
  9. A qualified professional electrician with valid certification must connect the durable LARX carbon heating Film to the installation box or to the thermostat.
  10. If several LARX carbon heating Film strips are used in one room, it is possible to connect these strips in parallel.
  11. For underfloor heating, it is necessary to place the floor sensor of the thermostat in the groove in the base plate directly under the durable LARX carbon heating Film and secure it against shifting.
  12. Cover all strips of LARX carbon heating Film with protective and insulation PE Film with a minimum thickness of 0.2 mm.
  13. Carry out a test resistance measurement according to the Warranty Certificate and plot the positions of the individual LARX carbon heating Film strips, wires, connections and devices.
  14. Check everything and lay the interlocked floor covering according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Brief description of application under anhydrite / concrete or floorboards (more in the detailed instructions)

  1. Durable LARX carbon heating Film is usually laid on thermal insulation (floor polystyrene).
  2. Measure and cut the LARX carbon heating Film strips according to the project.
  3. Lay the durable LARX carbon heating Film and secure it against shifting.
  4. Use the crimping pliers to crimp the connectors onto the Film. Make sure that the connector is connected to the copper strip.
  5. Carry out a test resistance measurement before laying according to the Warranty Certificate.
  6. Strip the connecting wires. For the first strip, strip the wires at the end, for any additional strips of durable LARX carbon heating Film, strip the wires continuously. Use crimping pliers to crimp the wire into the connector.
  7. Insulate the cutting edge with the connectors with two butyl tapes. Insulate the opposite end of the durable LARX carbon heating Film with one tape folded in half. Secure the wires against shifting.
  8. A qualified professional electrician with valid certification must connect the durable LARX carbon heating Film to the installation box or to the thermostat.
  9. If several durable LARX carbon heating Film strips are used in one room, it is possible to connect these strips in parallel.
  10. Cover all strips of durable LARX carbon heating Film with a protective and insulation PE Film with a minimum thickness of 0.2 mm.
  11. For underfloor heating, it is necessary to place the floor sensor of the thermostat on the PE Film directly above the durable LARX carbon heating Film and secure it against shifting.
  12. In bathrooms, a grounding net connected to a protective connection must be laid above the durable LARX carbon heating Film on the PE Film.
  13. Carry out a test resistance measurement according to the Warranty Certificate and plot the positions of the individual durable LARX carbon heating Film strips.
  14. Check everything and pour the floor according to the technological procedure of the manufacturer. The recommended thickness of the anhydrite or concrete layer over the durable LARX carbon heating Film is 45 mm. According to the manufacturer, the minimum thickness of Fermacell boards is 25 mm.
